I’m currently trying to move my expressionengine website to a new hostingprovider.
(same domain-name)
I have done this process a dozen times with other cms’s (a relativly simple process)
I havn’t changed anthing (only a database name) passwords, file-locations and other stuff i kept the same.

The system path does not appear to be set correctly. Please open your path.php file and correct the path.

without the error handeling part (http://ellislab.com/forums/viewthread/66323/) in index.php, it shows a blank page.

i can’t access the admin (eekernel) also a blank page.

Is this a file-permission related issue?
Can someone please help me to fix this problem once and for all.

My server runs:

Apache 2.2.16         Running
DirectAdmin 1.36.2   Running
Exim 4.67         Running
MySQL 5.0.67         Running
Named 9.3.4         Running
ProFTPd 1.3.1         Running
sshd               Running
dovecot 1.2.14         Running
Php 5.2.14         Installed

If you look at your path.php file, where is the path to the system? Is it something like

$system_path = "./system/";

where ./system is the path to your system folder?
