    Hello folks,

I plan to run a website with a specificity :
I would like to offer in my website a pay per view option or a subscription by month to let the customer getting access to the all the video content of my website (courses online like Lynda.com). These videos will be viewed online threw the browser (no Air application), and will not be downloadable.

Is there a possibility with EE and some modules to see the activity of each subscribers (IP restriction or others better solutions), to avoid the multiplicity of the connection with the same login and password (3 people having acess with the same login and password / 1 has paid) ?

What complementary modules with EE do i need ? Can i make it with EE 2 ?

    Best

Nothing that I know of does what u seek, you can set “Allow Multiple Log-ins From a Single Account” to NO from admin http://ellislab.com/expressionengine/user-guide/cp/admin/system_admin/security_settings.html

As for protecting your stuff, you could enhance it by obfuscating the URL with things like:
    http://devot-ee.com/add-ons/channel-files/
    http://devot-ee.com/add-ons/protected-links/

Those are great options, thanks Cheif!

Crem, you could also use a stats package to analyze activity from IPs.

But there is nothing built into EE for this; so I am going to move this down to the CodeShare Corner for some more community input.

    Thank you!

    Thanks your answers.
I forgot to mention that the project will be made of video streaming. Therefore, i’m not sure that the channel files module is the good one to achieve out.

The possibility to say “No” for multiple log at the same time, is good, but i would like to securize the streamed videos when bought by the customer.
I’ve read that a streaming server hosting is required (for best protection), and also the possibility to use javascript for the video link, and last but not least the Option “No” on EE Panel.

According to you, is this entire solution seems good ?

    Last question :
Does a stats module exist to trace the activity of an IP adress or the activity of a member (customer) ?
