    Hey Sue,

So I went to an old version of the site…pre-migration, and I dont see any of that code you mentioned above.  So my next step is to download the old version and upload it to my test area and see what happens.  If I’m “hacked” does that mean this excersise will prove nothing?  Let me know, thanks!

    Hi Niraj,

Have you contacted your host to ask them to verify your environment? That is the first thing to do. Then, please do refresh your files - it seems like an odd way to structure URLs. If you can please also contact the previous developer to get an understanding of what that code was supposed to do.

    Cheers

    Greg

    Greg/Sue,

After some back and forth with the host, I am not getting what I need.  As a company, we have decided to rebuild the site because I am not getting a response from the previous developer.  We will move to Engine Hosting who has been gerat with my 3 other company sites.  I guess I will live with this until we are finished with the new site.  Thanks for the information.

    Niraj,

There is a known issue with the combination of Plesk 8 and phpMyAdmin 2.8 that causes the errant code to be added to href links stored in the database.

    See thread here and here

    Hey John,

The previous site was hosted at Media Temple which was using Plesk 8.  I’m not sure what version of phpmyAdmin they were using though.  So that might explain where the code came from.  We moved it a few months back to a new host who does not use plesk 8.  At least I have an idea as to where the code came from.  Thanks for the info!

    Hi Niraj,

Am I right that you’re going to go ahead and rebuild the site? Let us know if you still need assistance on this.

You are correct.  I am moving the site to Engine Hosting and we are rebuilding from scratch on their platform.  thank you for the assistance.
