Hi all, I’m new here yes but I’ve been lurking for quite some time. My name is Chad and I am addicted to Content Management Systems and spent a year researching which one would be my “go-to” weapon of choice for most projects. I’ve played around with the other contenders (not naming names), literally discovered what seemed like hundreds of others and debated on the open source vs. paid topic. But today, I’ve made my decision and dropped the $99.

I just want to say, before even buying your product it felt secure, professional and exciting. Your template tag language feels naturally and easy, your add ons - amazing! Another reason I decided with EE is b/c I want to start getting into E-commerce sites. I was seriously considering Lemonstand but once I saw “BrillantRetail”, it pretty much sealed the deal (knocks two birds with one stone).

I just couldn’t contain my excitment any longer and wanted to share my joy. It really has been a long ride for me watching others. It’s time for me to start now and I feel like it’s going to be a fun time. I’m not trying to start a debate so please don’t take it as such.

Here’s to looking forward to the future!
    Chad

Love your arrival story - welcome Chad!

By the sound of it you’ve tested a few different CMS’s and made a [very] informed decision, that’s more than many people do - I’m thinking of the bandwagon types that just follow what’s trendy!

Like you I found EE’s tags to be the thing that switched me onto it, it’s really revolutionsed the way I build web sites. EE does have it’s quirks (like any other CMS) but once you’ve sussed those out, and the more you play with it, you realise what a great choice it is.
