I see to get an error message when I try and upload a PDF file using the ‘Admins’ group. The odd thing I don’t get the problem at all when uploading a PDF file in the ‘Super Admins’ group.

Does anyone know why I get this message for the ‘Admins’ group (see attached)

    Marker Maker,

Head to you Security and Session Preferences and turn off Apply XSS Filtering to uploaded files?

Admin > System Preferences > Security and Session Preferences

    Does that work for you?

Yes that solved the problem, thanks. How come upload was possible with the ‘super admins’ accounts but not with the ‘admins’. How does the XSS Filtering effect this?

    Hi, Marker Maker.

It’s assumed that SuperAdmins are the most trustworthy group, so there aren’t as many items in place to check for problems in the file.

Your Admins group isn’t a SuperAdmin, so there are some checks in place to ensure no trojans or the like are uploaded. Removing XSS filtering is one way to bypass that check, and usually manifests itself in .pdf file.

    Does that help?
