    Running 1.7 with MSM and have a curious situation with new weblog entries that are posted by contributors. They post fine but they all come in with status of “closed”.

    Any particular reason this would be happening?

    Thanks.

    Greetings Forrest:

    In your weblog settings, make sure you have a status group assigned to the weblog in question.  😊

    Hi Greg,

    Thanks for the prompt reply. I double checked and the person is assigned to the weblog in question and I did a test myself with their login and get the same results:closed.

    Is there something else I am missing?

    Thanks!

    You said you tested this with their login but did you check as Greg mentioned that you definitely have a default status group assigned to the weblog?

    Admin->Weblog Administration->Weblog Management->Edit Groups (Your Weblog)->Status Group

    Make sure that has a status group selected and then try again.

    Best wishes,

    Mark

    No problem. So it’s all working now then?
