My CP home is saying “ExpressionEngine Version 1.7.0 is now available”  but when I click on the link its takes me to a download page with only doc - https://secure.expressionengine.com/download.php

Where can I download and update my version?

Does anybody know the answer to this, is this just a bug in the system?

    Hi, krymp -

I am not seeing any licenses on your account; you will need to purchase a license in order to download.  A purchase of EE 2 non-commercial or commercial includes access to EE 1.7 s you can choose which you upgrade to.

Does that help answer your questions?

I’m having the same problem. Where do I purchase/update my license?

    Hi, Jen,

I just responded to your email, so we should just follow up there.

    Thanks!

Lisa… I actually purchased ee 2 license both commercial and personal, but couldn’t see the ee1.7 download link. Is this normal?

Larry - yes. When you choose to download EE 2, under the license agreement, you can choose EE 1 instead. That is for all versions of EE 2 except Freelancer.

I am a little confused, I never bought a license as this was offered as a free product before.  I don’t want EE2 just the update to EE 1.7

    Hi, krymp -

EECore was discontinued with the release of EE 2.  When you do purchase EE 2 non-commercial or commercial, you get access to EE 1.7 and EE 2.  So if you do wish to upgrade then you will need to purchase a license.
