    I have an urgent problem with a deadline looming. (Like you never heard that before).

    I have a 1.7 site that is running Multiple Site Manager 1.x and I believe I set it up correctly. I see the two sites in the control panel can change the templates and weblogs on both sites and I see that the changes are being made to each site individually however now that I am into it I noticed that the second site is still using only the templates and weblogs from the first site not grabbing its own.

    I have created a separate folder for the new site and copied in the index.php and path.php file and changed the path to the system folder from ./system ../system.

    I have also went into the Admin panel and changed the Root directory link to point to the new sites directory.

    Could you give me any idea why the new site would be using the old site templates and weblogs?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hi, Paul.

    When you created the second site, did you copy any of the weblogs and the like from the first site?

    What changes did you put into the path.php for the second site?

    Thank you for getting back to me Sue. I was able to figure out my problem by doing a little digging online. I found and old .PDF document that went through the multiples site manager 1.x setup step by step and realized I needed to add the following two lines to my path.php file.

    $site_name = “the_new_site_name”;
    $site_url = “the_new_site_path”;

    I did add the URL once while troubleshooting the problem but don’t think that I would have know to add the first line as it was not there originally.

    Thanks again for offering your help.
