I am looking at adding some more ads to my site as well as a “store” for affiliate links to Amazon and Commission Junction and I was wondering if anyone has any good suggestions for how to do this in EE?

For the ads, are there any add-ons that facilitate switching between a set of banners?

For the “store”, any suggestions for a good approach to building an affiliate store in EE? I am thinking of a fairly basic layout of just a grid of images and some basic information about each product. In most cases, images would be fetched from the affiliate program dynamically. I am not sure whether the products need single pages or not.

Hi Linda. Bit of a plug here, but we developed an Affiliate Window add-on for EE2 that might be of interest. You can use it to create an entire affiliate store, or just use it to power affiliate adds/links on your site. Take a look and see if it’s of any use:

Thanks 😊 At a first look, the instructions feel a little sparse, but I’ll look more closely.

However, it may not be quite what I am looking for since part of what I am doing is Amazon affiliate ads and I am using a module to automatically fetch data for those already, so it might get awkward to combine.

And now I realized that it is just for EE2 as well, too bad. I am still on 1.7 (got too many galleries to be able to move), so I am looking for a solution that would work for that.

I am using ee 2.+ so this package looks good for my use.  The documentation is lacking though.  What I need to do is serve up ads from Commission Junction based on the member group that is logged in.  Does this sound like something your module can do?
