    Hiya,

I thought it should be about time that I delve fully into testing out 2.0 and I guess I’m probably one of only a handful of people that still likes to use the template editor as I’m guessing most people like to save as files but ah well, that’s just me.

One thing that I have found slightly unfortunate though is that now I have to click the update button to update a template whereas in 1.x I was able to tab out of the template textarea into the template size box, hit return and it would save. Only a small thing I know but it used to save me tons of time seeing as how I use the template editor.

I don’t suppose there’d be any way of getting something like that back again would there? Also I suppose it would also mean some settings so that you could turn off the automatic tabbing in the textarea?

One other thing I noticed is that if I press shift and return in the template editor I get a
placed in there. What other little niceties are there in the editor that I might not know about?

    Best wishes,

    Mark

    Mark,

    The template editor uses markItUp

    onShiftEnter will give you linebreaks
onCtrlEnter will give you paragraph tags

You are welcome to make a feature request for the tabbing to become a option but to be honest your way of tabbing out and hitting return sounds just as fast as clicking the update button. It is probably more habit than anything for you 😊

    Many thanks for the info.

I won’t bother with a feature request as I thought it was probably just me that did things this way although in all honesty it most definitely is faster to press tab and return because if the cursor is way over the other side of the screen then it takes a while to locate it, move it and then press the button 😉

Also I’m one of those that prefers to use key commands more than a mouse / trackpad as I just think it’s a lot lot quicker but hey that’s just me.

Please feel free to close this one out.

    Best wishes,

    Mark
