I created some custom member fields and added a field description for each. The descriptions show up on the Admin “Register New Member” form, but do not appear on the Edit Profile form. This did work in 1.6.x - is this a bug?

Hi Roi,
That should work in version 2.1.3. Are you using a customised member theme? Are you testing this a non-Super Admin and what is the setting for “Is this field visible in public profiles?” in the Custom Field settings?

Greg - I agree, it should work 😉
I tried this on another EE site with the same rev install and it does the same thing.
To be clear: it is the field description that does not show up. It has nothing to do with how I am logged in, I am using standard themes and YES is checked for everything in the field setup.
The field description shows up on the “Register New Member” form, but does not show up on the Edit Profile form (the field does, but the field description does not).

Hi, Roi. This appears to work using the Agile theme on EE2.1.4 Beta.

Which theme file are you using?

Hi Sue,
I gave you a bit of bad information. The problem only appears when logged in to the CP as a user with access to Member Profiles.
If I logon to the front end as a simple user and edit my profile, I see the field descriptions.
If I am logged into to the CP and try to edit a Member profile, the field descriptions do not show up (used to work in 1.6.8)
If I am logged in to the CP and open the “Register a New Member” form, the field descriptions show up

I can’t replicate this in EE2.1.3
Can you provide a screenshot please?
