I cannot access my control panel.

If I set the config file to use either “c” or “cs” for admin logins, the login page reloads without letting me in. If I change it to “s,” I get the “Disallowed Key Characters” error.

I updated that error to show the string that it is crashing on, and it’s crashing on the login name, which is 7 characters, all lowercase letters.

Clearing browser cache/cookies doesn’t help.

2.1.3 installed. Disabling extensions doesn’t help.

The error occurs in both IE8 and FF3.6. It is local to this site; I can log in to other EE sites just fine.

Are you using mod_rewrite in any way (i.e. removing index.php from your URLs)? The login name is only 7 letters from a-z, is that correct?

No rewrites on this site at all—.htaccess file is entirely blank.

Hi, AnotherMuse. I’d go back to ‘c’ instead of using ‘s’ only for testing. Is this a MSM site? When did this start happening? Do you recall if you had any extensions loading?
