Thanks for all the help, Sues comment helped in a way but it was not the solution. I solved the issue after reading her post.
Rather embarrassingly our comments module was disabled… Turn it on and suprise suprise it all worked!
Thanks for all the help and I’m sorry it was such a stupid mistake! :gulp:
