    Hi,

we recently got experienced a DDOS attack from an IP from china. because of this we are thinking of activating throttling for our site. we have put much effort in our SEO specially with google so is activating throttling for our site going to affect the way google crawls and index our pages/site?

    Thanks

First of all, you have to consider whether you want visitors from China anyway. In my case I think I ban most IP’s from that area of the world, but it is different for different setups.

You can control Googles bot in your webmaster tools and slow it down to a point where it would not set off the throttle. That will not affect your SEO, IMHO.
