(I was going to post this as a bug report but I haven’t been able to test it enough to be sure it’s not my install playing up)

It seems that if you try to access the Template Manager whilst logged in as a user who is blocked from accessing at least one template group then a ton of undefined index errors will appear, along the lines of:

    A PHP Error was encountered
    Severity: Notice
    Message: Undefined index: 2
    Filename: cp/design.php
    Line Number: 3419

I’ve replicated this on 2.1.3 and the 2.1.4 beta but not with a completely fresh install so there might be something else going on. Can anyone confirm? Thanks.

    Dom.S,

I removed access to a template group via the member group preferences and cannot replicate your issue.
What else have you got going on in your install to may be a clue?

Thanks for looking into it John.

Since you couldn’t recreate it I just had a go with a 100% vanilla 2.1.4 beta install and I can confirm it’s still happening, so it is definitely a bug. However, and it’s a fairly big however, you will only see the error if you have error reporting set to ‘2: PHP/SQL error messages shown to anyone - NOT SECURE’.

Because I’ve been using both of the EE installs I was testing with for debugging they were both set to show errors to anyone, which probably explains why this hasn’t cropped up before.

Thank your for bringing this to our attention. Apart from the notice everything works as expected, I understand?

No problem. Everything else works fine as far as I can see.
