Using 2.1.3 for the first time on a new site. I noticed I can’t drag the corner of the code input box to make it larger. Was working in Chrome on Windows, tried Firefox and had the same problem.

You can adjust the height in the Template Preferences bar just under the window. Expand that preferences and its the last one on the right.  Also you can hide the side bar for a little more width.

I miss the “stretchy” window too. This may have been a trade off for having the preferences right under the window.

Are we talking about the Content > Publish page? Because I’m having the same issue, but don’t see any template preferences. I feel like I’ve lost my mind.

When you said “code input box” I thought you meant the window in the Template Management area:

Site Name > CP Home > Design > Templates > Template Manager >

Sorry… the one’s in my Publish page do work in most of the browsers I use.

So what you’re saying is that there is some way to expand the “Page Body” box on Content > Publish? I’m viewing that page on Safari, Firefox and Chrome (Mac obviously) and don’t see how to do it on any of them.

You should be able to click-and-drag over that bottom right-hand corner.

    See the attached screen-shot.

There’s PC versions of Safari, FireFox and Chrome.

I’m on Mac though, so it should be working for you too.

** You could also make the box bigger all the time here:

Site Name > CP Home > Admin > Channel Admin > Custom Fields >

You using version 2.1.3? It’s not working for me in that version, but it’s working for me in 2.1.0

@Kurt: Are you testing in 2.1.3? I don’t have that little corner thing to drag in any browser I test on. On a site with 2.1.0, it’s working fine. And I’m talking when editing a template, not extending a box on a publish page…that works fine.

Just saw your screenshot, I’m talking about the window to edit a template, not a window on the publish page.

Hm…. I wonder if maybe your themes files for the CP didn’t get updated at some point, or one of the files got hosed during upload? Wonder if you deleted the current themes folder and started with a fresh one if it would work for you?

Ah… I was right the first time!

See the Preferences bar right under the window? Click on that, then on the far-right, “Template Size”.

** Lisa Jill had to show me where that was a few months back. I thought it was missing, but they just moved it into that bars settings.

Thanks, that setting does make it taller. I still wish I could click and drag that corner to resize. One thing I just realized is that my text in the window isn’t wrapping, is there a setting somewhere to make it wrap? Maybe if it’s wrapping, the drag handle appears?

I just tried changing the CP theme from the default to corporate and the drag handles are there. There must be something wrong with my default theme files. It’s a fresh install so I’m not sure what the problem is, but at least it gives me something to try out. Thanks for your help!

Regarding that Publish page thing. In the custom field settings of Admin > Custom Channel Fields > Add/Edit Custom Fields, changing the field type from Text Input to Textarea allows me to see multiple lines. However, as you can see by the screenshot, I still don’t see the ability to expand the window.

And thanks for your attention an help Kurt.

indrasnet,  I think the draggable corners on form inputs, like the ones on the publish page, are browser specific. I think they are added only by certain browsers. You might want to try a different browser.
