    Hi, I have recently switched host providers for my websites and began migrating across. The first EE powered site went seemingly well, I followed the guide here:-

    http://expressionengine.com/wiki/Moving_servers_-_ExpressionEngine_site_to_the_new_host/

    However, when I log in to the control panel and try and turn the site on and off, it wont let me change?

    Have I missed anything?

    Thanks

    Hi, Scott. You posted this in the EE1.x support forum -  Can you tell us which version/build of EE you’re using? See EEWiki:// HowTo Determine My EE Version

    Is your /system/config.php file set to be writable?

    The value of:

    $conf['is_system_on'] = "y";

    Needs to be set to “n”—but if the file isn’t writable, EE can’t change it. Does that help?
