    Hey everyone,

Our first EE2 add-on is out, called Panel:

    http://www.addictaddons.com/panel

Panel allows you to create client-friendly settings panels with settings you define. You can use those settings in your templates just like you use global variables. There are six settings types to choose from:

    - Dropdown list (of values you choose)
    - Yes/No
    - On/Off
    - Channel Entry (for a channel you specify)
    - Text
    - Textarea

You can set instructions as well as a default value. There is an option to reset all values to their defaults on the panels as well.

Panel was developed after we noticed the need for having clients edit control small things on a site. For instance, often clients will want to display a Twitter feed in the future but not at launch, so we let them control that with the on/off setting. It comes in handy for letting clients choose a “featured” entry that displays on the site home page, for example.

Eventually, we found ourselves putting a lot hard-coded values into Panel and letting clients change things instead of putting in a support ticket. They can always set things back to the default if they need to.

Panel is $15 and is available for purchase our site here:
