Control panel logging me out after only a few moments of inactivity

Greetings,

It seems the EE control panel has started logging me out after only a few moments of inactivity (probably less than 5 minutes). It doesn’t seem like this was happening before with such a quick timeout.

I’m wondering if this is expected behavior, and if there is any way to change the timeout to be longer? I’ve been using the same version of EE for some time now.

I’m using:

EE Freelancer v2.1.3 Build: 20101220
Windows 7 Enterprise
Chrome 9.0.597.98

Addendum: this issue does not seem to be occurring on Firefox—just on Chrome.

NorthK,

What is your Control Panel Session Type set to under Security and Session Preferences?
Try setting it to cookies only and see if issue persists

Setting to Cookies Only seems to work.
