I’m receiving the following error message on my control panel:

An unexpected error occurred attempting to download the current ExpressionEngine version number. Please visit your Download Account to verify you are on the current version. If this error persists, please contact your system administrator

Any help is appreciated.

EE was unable to connect to expressionengine.com to verify the latest version number. This might have been an intermittent issues, or there might be some connectivity problems. It’s usually safe to ignore, or you can simply turn off the new version auto-check in your preferences.
