Erik, that is simply a great and generous page.

There ought to be a way for Ellis to reference it in a very visible place for early self-support, on the technical fora.

I am not talking about the Wiki here 😉

Maybe a Sticky at the top of the per-EE-era technical support areas?

Possibly publishing, with your permission or authorship of the article, excerpts there to get people started.

    Regards,
    Clive

I want to second the note that Eric’s article is awesome.  I will certainly be looking back on that one when the time comes.

This week I wanted to add a little article to the community regarding just about everything you wanted to know about 404 errors with ExpressionEngine:

    http://joviawebstudio.com/blog/guide_to_404_pages_with_expressionengine/

It basically describes how to optimize your 404 page plan for SEO and user experience, using the tools EE provides.

Hello, Ryan, and I liked your help sheet quite well too.

I am having imaginations, having looked at a few recently-styled EE sites.

How wouldn’t it be, to have a page in the EE Support area, which was attractive with grids off picture boxes, each introducing a concept area that a third-party has written a page to help…

Could Support actually look attractive this way, as a selling site? Ellis seems very interested in selling these days, so I don’t know why not 😉

Personalities would get a little introduction there, too—content of the boxes besides the focus words.

    Regards,
    Clive

I wrote a tutorial on how to make Gravatar plugin for ExpressionEngine.

Might be useful for those who want to start developing for EE. 😊

We launched AddonBakery, a new shop for ExpressionEngine (& Magento) addons.

Our first commercial release was Simple Registration - A Standalone registratform form for ExpressionEngine which simplifies the member registration process. You can output a signup form anywhere in your templates, and you can also select which elements that are required in the signup form (ie. remove the password confirm element, etc.)
