Using latest EE version, Build: 20101220, trying to move a site from dev to live server, getting the following:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /home/chris497/public_html/system/expressionengine/core/EE_Config.php on line 40

    Hosting specs:
    lunarpages.com
    Apache version   2.2.16
    PHP version   5.2.14
    MySQL version   5.1.48

The site works fine on my dev server running MAMP: PHP 5.3.2.

    Any idea? Thanks.

Never mind… Cpanel says php 5.2 but phpinfo() shows the server is actually serving 4.4.9. Sorry about the false alarm.

Gotta love those cheap hosting providers…

Glad you were able to figure out what the problem was. Don’t hesitate to post again as needed.
