Hi all, this isn’t happening all the time but it’s confusing my client!

When you click on an entry to edit it (via the edit page) the publish page is blank and says New entry at the top. On occasion it has had another entries content loaded!

At first I thought it was just human error but I’ve seen it happen a few times now and it’s definitely occurring.

    Any ideas?

search through bug reports… i think i remember something about people on slow connections were loading the edit page and clicking an entry before the JS had assigned a entry value to it, and as such causing it to be a new entry rather than edit an existing one.

Which version of EE are you on?
I’ll try and find the bug report.

I thought that might be the issue, I’ve told the client to “give it a moment” but I’d hoped there would be a more elegant solution : )

    I’m on 2.1.3

    Cheers

I’ve been having this same issue - and not on a slow connection - just started with 2.1.3.

Hi, Guy. You’d have to test this locally or on a 2.1.4 beta install. The bug is listed as fixed in the beta release.

    Does that help?

Thanks Sue - if it’ll be fixed in 2.1.4 that helps!

    Thanks!
