This morning I noticed that MacDailyNews, a Mac site with a long history on ExpressionEngine, is now running on WordPress. That’s quite a change. Historically, it was WP sites wanting to convert to EE. Is this a trend? What would cause a site to move to WP from EE?

I notice they use Wordpress VIP which may indicate their business needs dictated a fully hosted solution with dedicated support?

Not sure what their reason was but if I were to ever move from EE to Wordpress (definitely not planning to) it would be because of the better comment features of Wordpress right out of the box.
