    Hi guys,

    I’m experiencing a really weird bug. Goes like this ...

    Made a member group with access to the CP. This member group has a set Language for Dutch.
    The problem is that the following language snippet does not get translated

    <?=lang('entry')?>

    .

    When I, as super admin, change my language to Dutch the word ‘Entry’ does get translated.
    But when I login under the other member group that specific word does not get translated.
    I have not found any other words that do not get translated except for

    <?=lang('entry')?>

    .

    Hope you can make heads or tales from this weird bug ... Thanks for helping.

    Using EE 2.1.3 with Dutch language pack 2.1.2

    Hi Dion,

    I that an EE snippet?

    Where are you looking at the word ‘Entry’? The control panel or the front end?

    When you login under another member group do you mean the cp or the frontend?

    Try the following

    <?=lang('template_group')?>

    Hi John,

    Yes this is en EE piece of code.
    It is the code to translate the word ‘entry’ in the EE Control Panel.

    What happens is that perticular word does not get translated when I am logged in to the cp as a certain member group.
    When I log in to the cp as a super admin the word does get translated, so translation works for super admins because if I change a word in the cp_lang.php files for English and Dutch I can see the change. Only not for that perticular member group, other words change on the front end if I change them but not ‘entry’, it’s really weird.

    The snippet that is being used comes from homepage.php in the themes folder.

    Thanks for helping ...

    Here is an attached image of the situation ...

    Are you using the Dutch pack as Superadmin as well? Have you made sure this group / particular user uses it? have you made sure the Dutch pack (which I am not familiar with) actually contains the translation for “entry”?

    Hi Ingmar,

    Yes I am using the Dutch lp as a super admin.
    The translated word for ‘entry’ is shown.

    I am sure the group is using Dutch, because I set it up.

    The Dutch lp definatelt contains the entry translation. I checked in the file, and I can see it on the cp hompage as super admin.

    Hi Dion,

    I am not able to replicate this on my local install. Do you have any addons installed in this site? If so, is it possible to temporarily disable them to ensure that one of them isn’t causing a problem?

    Cheers

    Hi Greg,

    Thanks for trying.
    I will disable the add-ons on Monday and will let you know if that produces any results. .
