I am attempting to change the email addresses that receive email notifications when a new member registers on my site (tupssofoa.org).

It seems like it should be pretty straightforward. From the EE Control Panel, I navigate to CP Home < Admin < Members and Groups < Membership Preferences < Notification Preferences and edit the email addresses in the “Email Address for Notification” field. However, when I click the “Update” button, my changes are not saved and I receive the following error message:

The following path you submitted is not valid:
    /data/14/1/123/137/1286952/user/1376320/htdocs/main/images/signature_attachments/

Any ideas how I can fix this problem and go about modifying the email addresses that receive the email notifications? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

    Hi, tupssfoa.

The problem you’re seeing is that EE is doing some checking of various settings, and has found that the path you have specified for signature attachments is off.

Take a look at Where Am I?

It’s designed to help you figure out the right system path. Does that help?

This was exactly what I needed, thank you! Turns out there were a bunch of incorrect paths in the various Membership Preferences settings. We moved our EE installation from a subfolder to the root awhile ago and I must have missed updating these paths. Thanks again!

Very glad to see that worked for you. Please post again as needed.
