I’m working on a development installation and the front-end and most of the CP works just fine but when trying to go to the Template Manager I get a blank screen with the following error:

An Error Was Encountered
The name you submitted may only contain alpha-numeric characters, underscores, and dashes Temp$$$

This problem came on rather suddenly and the only thing that happened was that I was automatically logged out during a break and when I returned the error started. I can access individual template pages using the tree navigation menu and all other pages except for the Synchronize Templates page.

The only other actions I took before I noticed this problem was the creation of a new channel but that seemed to work just fine.

Any ideas what could have gone wrong?

What version and build of EE are you using? Are you saving templates as files?

Oddly, this morning things started to work again and I did absolutely nothing different. Last night it wasn’t working, this morning it did. No restarts of my machine, server or database either. So, for now it’s not a problem that needs any attention but I’ll keep an eye on it for the future.
