    Hi,

First of all I did search forum for the same question already, but still need some more clearification. Hope you can help answer the following questions. Sorry for my English.

    1. I’m individual not a company. No employee, I do it alone. I want to make hobby websites and let people register to my community. No product sell on website, no subscription fee. But in the future I may have advertise banner and get paid from that.

    >> Do I need commercial license? (if in the future I may get pay by banner Ads)

    2. Can I always upgrade from non-commercia to commercial?

    3. I need forum, so I’ll buy it with EE license no problem. But still confuse with Multiple sites.

3.1 Can MSM allow me to manage other domains from one place (all domains own by me, same server)

3.2 What I understand is If I want to start a second website at first I need to buy a Multiple Site Manager at $79.95 or 199.95 and I’ll allow to make up to three more websites without any other license cost and I’ll pay again if I manage more than 3 additional sites right?

I’m ready to buy now, just need more clearification then I’ll make a right option.

    Thank you very much
    Duke

Hi Duke, and welcome to the forums!

You would be fine with a Non-Commercial license; the presence of banner ads doesn’t automatically force you to go Commercial. And yes, you can always upgrade from Non-Commercial to Commercial at any time through our store.

The MSM is intended to run related domains that have the same owner, which sounds like a good fit for your needs. Installing the MSM allows you to run a total of 3 sites from one installation. So you would start with one site, add MSM, and have 2 additional sites available. You can add more sites as needed.

Hope this helps! Thanks for your interest in EE and let me know if you have any additional questions.
