Hi,

I am displaying one entry per page for a portfolio and I want to highlight the active categories through a conditional statement on the template and can’t tell from the documentation if that is possible.

Is it possible to detect whether a category is selected for a particular entry?

Lots of options for working with the categories of an entry.  Probably what you are looking for is the variable pair {categories}{/categories} within the {exp:channel:entries} tag.  Are you familiar with this?
