Hi Terry,
all requests sound reasonable. I’ll try to implement them in next release.

Thanks Yuri. That would be awesome. I’ve got one more request and a question:
Request: Is it possible to have the ability to allow some objects to be associated with paypal (i.e. they have a price and must be purchased), and others to be free?
Question: I need to get this registration system working by October 1st so, if you’re available and interested, I would be happy to pay you for your time to implement these features asap.
Cheers
Terry

Hi Yuri, apologies if it’s been asked before (I did search but found no results).
Is it possible to apply rEEservation to a channel and for all entries to automatically become booking-enabled? I have a client using rEEservation to maintain educational courses, which are being added to all the time.
So for them to have to go into the plugin settings to enable booking on the new entry is another step for them to make user errors 😊 (I’m trying to keep things as streamlined for the client as possible).
Thanks,
Joff

Hi Joff,
in latest version it is not necessary to select entries to enable bookings (though the setting is still present in CP).

Hi Yuri,
I’ve been looking all over the web for an add-on that will do what my client is demanding but I haven’t found anything that will work just right. So far rEEservation seems to be the closest to what I need but I think there are a few features it may not be able to handle. Could you please let me know if it can do the following:
The site is a booking agency for bands and DJs. Each artist has an member account and then using SAEF they create their profile page as a new entry. So all of the band data is entered and managed through SAEF. The site admin can access and edit the artists profile information through the EE control panel if they need to make any changes.
My client wants artists to be able to create their own availability calendar by entering in dates that they are already booked—either as a penciled in booking or a confirmed booking. Along with each booking I need to be able to enter additional info in custom fields like the location of the performance and the type of venue is it at.
Keep in mind that the general public is not making these bookings. The bands and DJs themselves are entering in this booking information themselves after they’ve been booked through other means.
So I need a system that allows the bands and DJ’s to have control over creating, editing, and deleting bookings on front-end pages (not in EE control panel because they will not have access to that).
In addition to this I need to be able to create a list or calendar view of the bookings that have already been made for each artists on their profile page so people can see when they are unavailable.
My understanding is that your booking form would allow anyone to create a new booking on any date for the channel entry they are viewing, but it only allows editing or deleting of bookings to the EE admin in the control panel. There is no way to edit or delete a booking on any front-end page. Is this correct?
Would it be possible to make rEEservation compatible with SAEF so that I could create a list of upcoming bookings with an edit or delete button next to each one so they could be manipulated on the front end? And then an “add new booking” button below the list to add a new booking?
In short, here is a quick list of features I would need:
- Custom fields for each booking to store extra info about the booking
- A “penciled” or “confirmed” status option for each booking (this could be a simple select list of two options)
- Crate a list of upcoming bookings for a particular entry (visible to guests on front-end pages)
- Allow logged in members on the font-end to view all bookings for the entry they have authored with the option to edit or delete bookings in that list (without control panel access)
Please let me know how much of this your add-on could do and which features are not currently possible. Also could you please let me know if you are available for hire for custom development of some of these features if we need them and cannot find another solution.
Thanks,
Benek

Hi benek,
looks like rEEservation will fit you 100% (at east as far as I undertand).
Your site members (DJs) will be making bookings on behalf of their customers using reservation form. Then they’re able to edit the bookings they made (change status and details) using listing tag (http://www.intoeetive.com/docs/reeservation.html#list)
You can display bookings calendar using Simple Calendar plugin which is bundled with rEEservation.
Custom fields in booking form are not supported, but there’s comment field which can be populated with additional information.
Supported booking statuses are Open/approved, pending, cancelled and rejected.
Hope that answers your questions. Please let me know if something’s still not clear or you want to know something more specific.

Thanks for the quick reply Yuri. I didn’t see the edit form documentation before, and that looks like it solves most of my issues. Just have to look through the documentation again to make sure all other requirements are covered but I’ll probably end up buying your add-on. Cheers.

One more question regarding editing bookings.
In the edit booking form (front-end) are all fields editable?
In the documentation it says “Following fields can be used in the form:” but then there appears to be only a short list of parameters and none of the data field listed. Can the owners of the entry that is booked edit all details of the booking through the front-end edit form? Also, is there a way to delete a booking from the front-end form?

Hi benek,
I somehow failed to include list of editable fields to the docs. The only fields that can be edited are booking status and moderator comment.
There is no way to actually delete booking from frontentd (this is not recommended workflow even on backend), admins or object owners should set booking status to Rejected or Cancelled instead.
So if you need to edit more details (such as change booking dates), you should reject/cancel existing booking and create a new one.
Probably that’s not too flexible in your case, but that’s how it is.

Hi Yuri,
was just wondering if you still can’t book times. We’ve got a conference room which needs booking and payment functionality. Bookings could be time base, 9.00am - 3.00pm etc.
Fingers crossed!
Thanks
Rich

Hi Rich,
booking certain time is still not supported :(
#27 / Nov 10, 2011 5:01am
Thats a shame. Can there be a number of slots per day rather than times?
Thanks for getting back to me.

Nope, that’s not supported as well.
What you could do is have several entries representing each time slot available, but that will make difficult checking availability.

Ok,
