Just did an upgrade to 2.1.3.

Anytime I want to change a setting and click save it does not get saved.

    I.E.

If i set New Version Auto Check to ‘No’ if I Click submit, it stays on ‘Yes’

If I set Display Output Profiler to ‘Yes’ on Submit, it stays on No.

This seems to be the case for all my radio button settings…..except for Is this system On or OFf. on submit those values stick….

Hi, xpo60rj. Make sure your /system/expressionengine/config/config.php file is writable. Can you check that?

    xpo60rj,

I have everything set to 777.

What do you mean by everything? The install documentation was quite specific about what permissions to set.

The config.php and database.php files should have permissions of 666

What version of EE did you upgrade from?

Yes I realize that the documentation was quite specific. But with all my default permissions followed to a tee, it wasn’t working. So naturally, to see if it was a permissions problem I just set everything to 777.

    I upgraded from 2.1.1 to 2.1.3

btw…changing the config.php file manually, the changes appear in the control panel.

    Hi xpo60rj,

Do you have an .htaccess file active for this site? If so, please temporarily disable it and then test this again.

    Cheers

Hi, xpo60rj. Normally that’s all you need to do is to set the value of the config.php and database.php files to 666. Is there anything unique about your setup? Who are you hosted with?
