I have upgraded to the most recent version of EE but am still unable to order the categories using the up/down arrows, is this still an issue?

Are you using custom layouts? What about any third-party add-ons?

I’m using the latest version of EE2 and am using Matrix, ImgResizer, and Calendar from Solspace. I would rather not hack the core but thank you for the pointer. I’m seeing this as common behaviour are there plans to look into this? I am using category submenu’s and am having no control over the order in which the category items are listed?

Yes, this has been fixed for the next (yet unshipped) release. Thanks for your patience.
