    I get this error in the control panel file manager, and also from WYGWAM’s upload functionality. I have tried creating a new file directory, and verified the permissions are 777. Does anyone know what the problem could be?

    Solved: This was a PHP error. On my web server, I located the php.ini file which was located in the root of my site and added this line of code:

    upload_tmp_dir = usr/www/public_html/ee/images/temp/

    In my case, the line was already in the php.ini file. All I had to do was un-comment add set my path.

    EE folks: Would love to see a clearer error reporting. This looked like it was ee generated, but only one post from 2008 had any reference to this error.

    Hi, nitecode. You might want to post a Feature Request to have that additional text added to the error message.

    Glad you were able to figure out how to fix the problem. Don’t hesitate to post again as needed.
