I"m trying to figure out the plugin aspect of the jquery tag. The documentation refers to plugins and ui effects but doesn’t mention anything about whether one needs to download plugins or if there are a commons set of stock plugins and ui effects included with the ee installation. If there are common plugins how can I find a list of them?

I’ve searched through all the files in my installation and cannot find any reference to plugins so I’m very confused and have no idea how to use this tag. What’s the advantage to using this tag over simply using my own jQuery files and plugins?

Convenience mainly and the simple syntax it requires to add plugins. You can drop your own plugins in that folder too
