    Hello.
We are currently having some issues with our server being almost full; and were wondering if it is possible to configure the upload directory on to another HD partition in the same server where EE is not installed.

    Is this possible?

    Thanks

Not unless you can get to it via a full server path. You might want to consider storing some of your files on the cloud, like in an S3 account.

Thanks.  We will run some tests this afternoon and if we have more questions will come back.

    Thanks for the suggestion though.

    Hello again…
My question would be, how do I set the “Server Path to Upload Directory” in the “File Upload Preferences” given that I am setting up the upload folder in another partition?  If I were to use an S3 account, would it be any different.

I apologize, but I have never set an S3 account before, so I am not 100% sure how they work.

BTW, we are running EE in a windows server.

    Thanks for the help though.

    atiosis,

Not sure I understand. You would add the full server path to that folder on your partition but it has to be reachable from your EE install. Does it start off with the same root for example?

If you are using S3 there are a few commercial add-ons available to help with this
