Hi there, the title says it all really:

Can custom member fields be assigned to certain member groups? It appears that any custom member fields appear in all registration forms, regardless of member group. Can this be customised?

    Cheers!

You’d need to use the User module from http://www.solspace.com to create your profile editing forms. You can then use some conditionals to show/hide member fields depending on their current member group.

I agree, the User module would be to go if you need that level of flexibility. Thanks for stepping in, bluedreamer.

Many thanks for the clarification. I just wanted to make sure I don’t waste precious dev time by exploring avenues that could lead to dead-ends.

The User module is a for pay module, but keep in mind your time and effort, see if the cost is worth the time for coding this yourself.

Don’t hesitate to post again as needed.
