I created a support post for one of our writers getting redirected to the login screen when she tries to save or submit her entries. She was able to get it to work, so I closed the thread. However, it seems her successful post was a fluke rather than the log-outs being a fluke.
Some diagnostic information:
She’s a freelance writer working out of her home in Mississippi. I’ve had her test the system with IE8, Chrome, and Safari on her PC. She keeps trying over and over again and was able to get one of her dozens (or more) of test post to go through.
I created a brand new weblog and user account for her to try to rule out there being a permission - or some other such error with her blog/username. She gets logged out just the same. Next, I tried turning off “Process form data in Secure Mode”, but this too did not help.
Looking at my CP logs, I noticed that her IP seems to change over the course of a few minutes. She has a series of “Logged in” records with no corresponding “Logged out” entries. However, it looks like she has to re-login even when her IP does not change.
