    Hi all,

    Hope someone can help…

I have recently created an intranet/file sharing site for a client.

The client wants the ability to upload files (pdf’s, word docs, presentations etc.) through the frontend…Is there any way to do this so that a user group can login and upload a file to with to a specific category. Basically publish an entry with a file and categorize.

Also is there a way to mask the file locations in some way, for privacy issues?

    Many thanks,
    Ian

You can create entries on the front-end by using Stand Alone Entry Forms (SAEFs) here are the official docs. http://ellislab.com/expressionengine/user-guide/modules/channel/entry_form.html a third party option would be SafeCracker http://devot-ee.com/add-ons/safecracker/ which makes creating SAEFs a ton easier to do.
