Hi guys,
Finally getting around to revamping my site and I had a couple of quick questions. I have a website running EE 1.6.something or other and I want to take the site down completely and do a fresh EE 2 install. The site is hosted with enginehosting. Do I have to do anything special before installing EE 2? Like uninstall EE 1.6? Also, where can I get the latest greatest EE 2 install? I bought EE2 when it was first released so I would guess it is not the latest version.

If you are not wanting to reuse any of the content on your site all you would need to do is delete the files from the server then in phpMyAdmin drop all of the tables in the database. This will give you a clean environment to work with. To download the latest version of EE simply go to My Purchases in the drop down menu. which will allow you to download the latest version.

One other thing you’ll need to do is run the Server Wizard to make sure the box you have on EngineHosting has been upgraded to PHP 5.x.
