I am using a channel within an EE setup as a blog and would like to allow readers to “subscribe” to the blog (channel) so they are emailed anytime a new entry is posted. Wordpress provides the means to turn on a simple “subscribe to this blog” form.

Any suggestions as to how to do this, or what to use to make this possible with EE? (using EE 2.1.3)

    Many thanks.

    Have a look at http://devot-ee.com/add-ons/mx-notify-control/
though I’m not sure it can mail an entire member group.

Also, in the control panel check:
CP Home > Administration > Channel Management > Channel Preferences - Blog and look for “notification preferences”
There’s a setting “Enable recipient list below for channel entry notification?” you should check out.

Thanks, I will check out mx-notify. Looks like I’d have to populate the EE notification preferences email list by hand.
