I’ve run through some upgrades before and don’t remember having any problems.

I’ve downloaded the 1.7 documentation from here: -
https://secure.expressionengine.com/download.php

There are quite a few folders that are listed to be deleted and then over written that don’t exist in there (including system/updates/) and no update.php file.

This means I’m half way through an upgrade (having overwritten the folders that did exist).

Can someone please tell me what I’ve done wrong?  I’m hoping it’s something simple like I’ve downloaded the wrong file (and hopefully point me at the right one).

Hi, Ben -

I don’t see a license on your account, and 1.7 is available only with a license.  You will need to email sales with the information listed in our Support Policy to receive support.

Did you download the system files, or only the documentation?  The documentation is just that - documentation. It is not the software, and can not be used as part of the upgrade process.  Without a license, you won’t be able to download the software.
