    Hi,

I have a date custom field and when I input data it working fine. When I try to delete the content of the date it refuses to clear after submitting… the form submits but the data remains.

Oh - no I don’t have it set as a required field.

    Is this a know bug?

    Hi brebre,

Can you please clarify which version you have installed. The latest version is 2.1.3 and the build is 20101220. What is shown at the bottom of each page of the control panel?

    Cheers

    Greg

but upgrading in EE is SUCH a pain… must I? I only installed just over a month ago well after beta. When will EE upgrade be like WordPress?

sure…. you might say this was a harsh comment complaining about upgrading but after I do and following the instructions in detail on: http://ellislab.com/expressionengine/user-guide/installation/update_build.html

I get the ‘white screen’ of death, my favourite PHP error on Login. Site runs fine still but no login. :( aaaarrrrrhhhhhhhhhh.

    Hi Brebre,

Well that right there is the issue. That link is for upgrading within the same version number.  That guide is for when the build numbers are the only thing different. In our case, the version numbers are different too.  As written in the top of the page: “If you are updating to a new point version (2.0.0 to 2.0.1), then you need to follow the instructions for Updating to a New Version of ExpressionEngine.”

Following those steps should fix your white screen issue 😊

Let us know how it works.

Having a single click update comes with a lot of risks. It is something we have looked into but not ruled out. You are welcome to make a feature request for it!

OK, updating fixed the error and the field is now clearing. Thanks.

any ideas on how to start the date ...“now” as opposed to 1970… not much use for 1970 dates.

I’m not sure I understand. Can you explain this a bit more please with screenshot if possible?
