It looks as though your users are not logged in correctly, yes. Try adding {logged_in_member_group} to your landing page to see what group the users are logged in with.

    Hi thanks

I did as you requested, and added the code both to the landing page, and to the SEAF.

The member that logs in as editor IS recognized as member of that group, both in the landingpage as in the SAEF.
Name is also correct, I checked that one also.

But this member still cannot upload a file. The log-in window comes in stead of the file upload.

What method of authentication (cookies, session_ids) are you using? Are you using any other third-party extensions?

    security session untouched as standard:
CP session: Cookies and session ID
    User session typ: cookies only

I recently installed safe cracker 1.x version, but problems with the file upload were actual before activation of safecracker, and that one is not active on my testpage with the file upload.

    Hi,  Atelier2 -

For a user to be logged into the CP and front-end at the same time, both CP and User sessions need to be set to “Cookies only”  The file upload comes from the CP, even when using a front-end form, so do try changing those to both cookies only.

Can you give that a shot and see if it helps?

    Hi Lisa

This works indeed. The file-upload works as expected.
I’m sorry for everybody that I did not find these settings in the manual, WIKI or in the fora.

Thank you so very much for guiding me.
