    Hi there,

I’ve been following this post since mid-December since I was getting the same php errors, but I’m using Hipcast with settings I had since upgrading from 1.6.  Everything worked fine until the upgrade.  I’m able to find the fields on the Hipcast side, but when publish on hipcast it seems like the entry never makes it back to my ee.  Any ideas?

    Thanks!

What version and build of EE are you using now?

Hi, tlflow. I used to use HipCast back in the day with no problems.. can we get you to upgrade to 2.1.3? Just so that we’re on the same build/version?

There is still a bug in the MetaweblogAPI code having to do with categories, but I’m able to post to my EEHowTo site with MarsEdit.

Sorry it took so long, but I’m upgraded to v.2.1.3 now.  I’m still seeing the same errors.

I use HipCast to update an ExpressionEngine blog entry with embedded audio code and it seemed to work pretty well for a few years now.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

    tlflow,

For the purpose of the thread can you post the errors you are receiving please.
Does you Metaweblog config hold its setting when you save it?
Did you try uninstallign the module and reinstalling it?
Double check permissions on your upload folders

I am unfamiliar with Hipcast as a service. What do you see on their side. Can you provide a screenshot?

    Also,

The Metaweblog config holds settings when saved? - Yes
I have tried uninstalling and installing the module again - Yes
Double check permissions on your upload folders - Hmm, maybe…. any ideas what folders I should be looking at and what the permissions should be?

    Thanks!

Permissions should be set to 777 for the folder holding your images. The exception to this is if you’re using EngineHosting.

You’d have to check the values for your file upload settings. See an example in the attached image.

All permissions are set properly, but the way Hipcast works, nothing is really fed into the images directory.  Only thing that happens is that an EE entry is automatically generated with the iframe markup needed to embed the audio clip inside of the entry. This happens when I click an “publish audio” button and select the category (pulled in from EE) on Hipcast’s website.

Can you tell it’s been a while since I used it. 😊 If you make a regular entry with the iframe info in it, does that work?

I wish that was an option… looks like when I click the “Publish Audio” button in Hipcast it kicks out a random ID that just shows up in the audio link field in Expression Engine.  So I wouldn’t be able to re-create it manually.

I’ve tried working with this module as well with the same errors mentioned.

I’ve updated to the latest release with no joy.

    What now??

msi, you didn’t mention what your problems were with the module, and what version/build you are working with. You can find that information at the bottom of any control panel page. (In the footer.)

tlflow, please check your email in a few minutes.

    msi and tlflow,

Those PHP errors shouldn’t affect the actual functioning of the module. As Sue said, MarsEdit is known to be working. What client are you using, msi?
