HI guys, I’m running EE 2.1.0 and have updated my forum module from 3.1.0 to 3.1.2. I can manage anyway I want my forums but they don’t show and get that message instead ” Fatal error: Call to undefined method Stats_mcp::statdata() in /opt/www/biscuit/adeline/expressionengine/modules/forum/mod.forum_core.php on line 9436”. Any explanations ? Thanks.

Do I need to upgrade EE to 2.1.3 to get my last Forum 3.1.2 working ?

Yes, EE and the Forum module must be kept in sync.

    HI INGMAR,
Obviously there’s nothing more simple to install than the forum module… so I shall go through something more difficult for me..
I’ll keep my fingers crossed! Cheers.

Ok Sue, since I ‘ve decided to build an entire new website on the same server space, I’ve opted for a new installation of EE 2.1.3. Got rid of my old tables on phpmyadmin and cleaned up all the place.  I’ve then uploaded all EE 213 files and followed the procedure carefully (for setting file permission, respecting the uploading process, change server path on index.php to match my new system name and so on…).
But when I point my browser to my system file address, I only get the index or structure of all files but no wizard to find or to go. Why is that ? My server manager thinks there is a file missing in the installer where all files are empty at the exception of the language file.
    Waiting for some advice…

Sorry Guys but there is an issue with my server reactions: after being loaded, files are erased or emptied without any explanation or notification. Sorry for those crazy stories and I swear I don’t drink nor I smoke any carpet… Maybe my Forum update didn’t go through because of the same external reasons… I will contact my server manager tomorrow…. Sorry for the useless entertainment.

Thanks for your patience Sue. My manager did upload himself the installer file with its full content and I still don’t know why I can do it on my own. Tried with two different ftp applications on two different computers with the same fate… And it’s not a matter of space, there’s plenty out there. So now that I got the installation successful,  I can’t log in my control panel because I get the message ” An Error Was Encountered Unable to load the requested file: account/login.php”. Any explanation ?

OK Sue and Ingmar; I don’t know how to call this thread: first the forum module update did not install because some of the files originated by EE didn’t upload the way they should have, second when I decided to reinstall the whole system to make a whole new site layout, I discovered that strange server reactions where the source of all my past update failures…. So everything has been fixed with no further explanations from my provider…. so I can enjoy this amazing EE tool and come back from this last but tiring “Alice in the Wonderland” trip. Sorry for keeping you busy because nothing to do with your great soft here. Cheers.
