Can anyone shed some light on how to debug a white screen when accessing the home page or the control panel? Screen just went blank. I was not working on anything in particular. I was in the control panel looking at member templates when the control panel went away. Refreshed the sire url and it went away too.

Found the problem. The EE directory was missing. Not sure how it happened but I found it by accident as I was going through my project area directories checking for missing index files and such. The entire EE directory was in a sub directory a couple of directories away. Not sure how it got moved. FTP record shows no directory move of any sort. I use 1&1 shared host. Could something have happen to cause the directory to move??

Nothing from the CP would cause a directory to move like that unless some third party addon was doing any directory manipulation
