Hi all,
I’m trying to send a mailing via the communicate tab. If I send 1 mail it works fine, if I send to a member group, the following error gets back:
Unable to send email using PHP mail(). Your server might not be configured to send mail using this method.I can send mails, so i guess the mail function is properly working. Or is it because I send to group of people?
Any ideas,

Hi Michel,
You should be able to a member group no matter which method of sending email you are using. Which version and build of EE are you using? Have you had this working before or is this a new installation?

No, it’s the first time I try. I’ll upgrade to the latest build. It’s now on 1.6.8, 20091201.

Is it really neccessary to upgrade to make this working? I’m afraid I’ll have troubles after upgrading. Is a build upgrade enough?

I definitely recommend it. If you are nervous just back up your files in addition to the db (which you should always) so you can roll back to it if needed.
