    When I receive this email it appears it was sent by the sites administrator instead of the email address in this field

    <input name="from">

    What coould be the reasons to this?

    {exp:email:contact_form replyto="yes" user_recipients="true"}

        <input type="hidden" name="subject" value="Subject">

        <input name="name" value="" />

        <input name="from" value="" >

        <input name="to" value="" />

        <input type="text" class="skjema" name="captcha" value="Captcha text" />
        {captcha}

    I don’t follow completely. Submitting the mail does work, i.e. it gets sent as expected? What version and build of EE are you using?

    Yes, it does get sent, but the recipient of the mail that is received is the email address of the site’s administrator — not the email address from the “from” input field of the the form. Does that make more sense?

    I’m using EE 2.2.1 build 20101020.

    magnusland,

    Try removing replyto=“yes”. Enabling that puts the site’s webmaster email will be put in the From header to work around certain email server restrictions
