Kaepora - I’m sorry you feel frustrated and are running into problems with custom fields.

At this point, how can we assist you? We have released a newer version of EE - EE2.1.4beta. While it is a beta, there are a number of fixed items.

See the following two pages in our bug tracker:

    http://expressionengine.com/bug_tracker/list_2.x/Fixed for Next Release/
    http://expressionengine.com/bug_tracker/list_2.x/Fixed in Beta/

Can you tell us which version/build of EE2.x you’re using? See EEWiki:// HowTo Determine My EE Version

I can confirm that 2.1.3 upgrade fixed the problem for me. Thanks!

By the way Kaepora, I don’t think your statements could be more off base. I’ve always had a wonderful experience with support, which I’ve been using for years. Response time varies, but more often than not, it’s quick, clear, and concise. I haven’t seen a community as professional and willing to help as EE’s. There have been many times where I’ve been in a pinch, and they’ve really delivered. One isolated incident may not be the best way to judge an entire company, their products, and their support practices.

I’ve just run into this problem in 2.1.3. I agree with some previous posts, this issue has gone on for far too long. I’m a huge EE fan so please help us resolve this annoying and time consuming issue. Thanks!

Hi, Hue Labs. Can you let us know which build of EE 2.1.3 and how to replicate the problem you’re seeing?

    Build 20101220

I’m not sure when the issue started. It could have been when I added and removed some custom fields the other day. However, I get the PHP notices when saving an entry.

It’s not a huge time-consumer, but has become very annoying over the year I’ve been using EE2.

    Hi Hue Labs,

You may need to reset your layouts for each member group. Make sure that eliminates the errors first before re-creating them. I would also suggest upgrading to the latest build. Please keep us posted!
