This question may be related to a resolved thread.

I’m experiencing the same issue as described in the the thread above but it has been marked as resolved. It’s also been registered as a bug here but there doesn’t seem to be any solution to it?

In the file manager, I upload a file and the interface just spins. Occasionally the stall is only for a minute, then it displays error : upload_no_file_selected. In either case, the file IS actually uploaded.

    I’m running Expression Engine 2.1.1 build 20101020.

The bug seems to occur in Firefox and Safari but not Chrome.

Are you referring to this bug report?

It’s similar but this bug report is more accurate.

The only difference I notice is that instead of it happening after the first upload, I notice it happening from the first upload (all the time).

If there’s been a fix then I’d be keen to apply it.

    Ian Y,

It’s similar but this bug report is more accurate.

The one you refer to is a duplicate of the report Ingmar has linked to which has a status of Confirmed so our devs were aware of the issue in EE2.1.0

Was this a fresh install of an upgrade from a previous version or build?
What type of file are you attempting to upload?

It was an upgrade from 2.1.0.

The file was a PDF and all the ones I tried were of a very small size.

Like I said though, the difference is that for me that bug occurs from the first upload and not just for subsequent uploads. Seems to be OK in Chrome for some strange reason.

I am afraid this bug has yet to be fixed. My apologies for the delay.
